Known for championing culture-forward transformations by aligning workforce strategy and business innovation. Chief People Officer Zane Zumbahlen brings nearly 30 years of global Human Resource (HR) leadership experience to Wedgewood.
He leads the People Success team and the entire people strategy lifecycle — from organizational design and workforce planning – through recruitment, engagement, retention, and sustainable growth. Zane partners with leaders organization-wide to cultivate a values-driven, high-performance environment. Prior to joining Wedgewood, Zane held executive HR roles at IBM, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). Throughout his career, he led large-scale cultural shifts, stewarded complex hiring and acquisition integrations, and architected strategies that improved engagement, retention, and innovation.
At his core, Zane is guided by servant leadership and the power of listening. He honors Wedgewood’s mission by fostering a an inclusive, future-ready workforce that is connected to advancing care for animals and those who care for them. Whether enhancing organizational culture, building strong leaders, reshaping systems, or enabling growth through people, Zane leads with both head and heart.
Zane holds a Master of Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Illinois. He has served on nonprofit and advisory boards and is a frequent panelist and speaker on workforce strategy, emotional intelligence, and leadership transformation. Outside of work, Zane enjoys travel, music, sports, and supporting youth development in his community.
